Inspired by the hit TV show Avatar: The Last Airbender and a popular earthbending video, Island Bender offers players a unique and thrilling gameplay experience. With the ability to create and throw rocks that break into fragments upon impact, players can strategize and use bigger rocks to destroy smaller ones. Basically, you throw rocks at each other!
Power-ups that can be collected and stacked up to two include bigger rocks, a shotgun blast, spikes that can take out multiple opponents at once, and a triple-shot power-up. Gather your friends and prepare for epic earthbending duels in Island Bender. Do you have what it takes to be the last one standing?
Island Bender was featured at IndieGameFest in November 2021, PlayCON Trier in October 2022, and gamedevs.nrw in January 2023, receiving positive feedback from players of all ages. The game's couch-fighting style, intense earthbending battles, and the ability to collect power-ups made it a hit among families, children, and friend groups who enjoyed teasing each other between rounds. The development team received valuable feedback and suggestions to improve the game.

About Island Bender Games
The team Island Bender Games began as a portfolio project to break into the games industry. After working on the project, the team decided to showcase it at various conventions and exhibitions, where it received great feedback from audiences. As a result, the team decided to release their game on Steam, making it available to a wider audience. Joining Felix, Sima Spielmann joined as an artist in March 2022, Anh-Thu Nguyen joined as an artist in June 2022, Florian Simon joined to work on sound and music in October 2022, and Inês Reis joined to help with PR and press in November 2022. These talented individuals brought their unique skills and perspectives to the project, helping to bring the team's vision to life.
