TOKYO — Oct. 16, 2026 — Video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Koichi Watanabe; hereinafter referred to as "Cygames") has announced that the demo for the upcoming "leap-of-faith" action-adventure game, Where the Seeds Fall (Developers: CygamesEdge, ZEREO), is available today on Steam®. A new trailer featuring an extended look at the game’s world has also been released.
Where the Seeds Fall launches Nov. 5, 2026 on PlayStation®5, the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system and Steam® for an MSRP of $9.99, and is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB. The game is being published under CygamesEdge, a new brand under Cygames dedicated to empowering small and mid-sized development teams.
Demo Out Today
The demo features a challenging section of the game built specifically to showcase the in-game mechanics and aspects of descent. The demo showcases all of the major game mechanics and contains no story elements or major spoilers. The full game features a stronger emphasis on narrative and lore, with game mechanics gradually unlocked as players progress through the story, while the difficulty is balanced to be more accessible to a wider audience.
Alongside the demo release on Steam®, the cinematic trailer has premiered on YouTube, showcasing the game’s world, story cutscenes and gameplay footage.

Where the Seeds Fall is set in a world ravaged by Blight, where humanity has been forced to build new homes upon the branches of the World Tree. The protagonist, a man who has lost everything, encounters a “Fell Child,” a being branded as an omen of disaster. Together, they begin their descent toward the surface.
