Studio Primitive and Liminal Pendulum are excited to announce that Boardwalk Builders will be part of the Back-to-School Games Celebration on Steam!
The celebration kicks off August 25th and runs through September 1st. It is hosted by Mooncube Games, developers of Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, and popular YouTube channel Lofi Girl. Multiple games featuring educational and productivity elements will be available to try and for sale at discounted prices.
Boardwalk Builders takes the sim genre to a new level. Players are invited to create their own boardwalk complete with booths, food stands and rides. Keep your customers happy to earn funds and add to your boardwalk. But beware! Mother Nature and corporate rivals will attempt to shut your dream down.
The demo recently received an update that included several new features:
- Fame Points: Visible from the main menu, Fame Points are earned by combining buildings. The points can then be used to unlock and upgrade more parts of your boardwalk.
- Building Maintenance: Building can now degrade over time. To combat this, you can now hire a Maintenance Man to keep your buildings looking spiffy.
- Entertainers: Hire and upgrade entertainers to wander your boardwalk and earn money.
Additionally, Studio Primitive teamed up with High Flying Studio, developers of Kittenship Care and added a new tier 2 building: Kittenship Care. Combine the right building and get rewarded with the adorable kitty themed building.
