Ashes of Creation Alpha Two officially launched on Steam Early Access on December 11, marking a major milestone for Intrepid Studios and the MMO’s ongoing development. The move to Steam opens the gates to a broader testing audience and makes it easier than ever for players around the world to step into Verra and help shape a living, player-driven world.
As Alpha Two continues, testers can expect frequent updates, including bug fixes, balance tuning, performance improvements, and new content drops. Development remains highly iterative, with ongoing updates shared across official livestreams, forums, Discord, and social channels as the team pushes toward the next phase of development.
In the latest developer livestream, the team reflected on a full year of Alpha Two development, spotlighting major system milestones, the rollout of new archetypes, large-scale backend and performance upgrades, and lessons learned from testing at scale.
The stream also highlighted how community feedback has directly influenced development, driving refinements to combat, progression, performance, and core systems. Looking ahead, the team’s focus remains on stability, meaningful player progression, and long-term feature development as Alpha Two continues to expand.
