Kent, UK, 29th September - Dovetail Games publishes the first-ever Asian route for the Train Sim World franchise, which is out now! Developed by Union Workshop, the scenic Tadami Line: Aizu-Wakamatsu - Tadami features 88km of rural single-track railway, which promises to deliver a slower, more relaxing driving experience as players explore Japan. Available on PC via Steam and Epic Games, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
From traditional towns in the Fukushima prefecture dotted with cherry-blossoms, to verdant forests and river valleys, players will not only get to grips with an entirely new signalling and ATS safety systems, but travel through a completely new country in one of the most anticipated releases for Train Sim World 7.
Set prior to the 2011 flooding which severed the line, the Tadami Line add-on allows players to experience the complete route via the KiHa 40 diesel railcar - available to drive through Japan’s spring blossom or winter snow in JNR Orange, Niigata White and Blue, or Tohoku White and Green.
Featuring 28 new stations spanning the Fukushima prefecture, an authentic timetable based on real-world operations, and five new scenarios showcasing different sections of the line, the Tadami Line: Aizu-Wakamatsu - Tadami add-on expands the world of Train Sim World 7.
To celebrate the release, Dovetail Games has collaborated with Japanese artist Kaoru Akagawa on a bespoke piece of artwork inspired by the Tadami Line. Akagawa builds her intricate illustrations based on her technique as a master of kana shodo, using traditional Japanese kana characters to bring the route's scenery to life in a unique way.
