The biggest game store is the open internet: Playgama completes its stack for scaling games on standalone websites

EMBARGO: August 21, 3:00 am ET / 8:00 am BST / 11:00 am UAE

Dubai, UAE — August 21, 2026 — Playgama Wrap is now publicly available to developers — a free service that turns an HTML5 game into a standalone website on its own domain with built-in monetization. Hazmob, StoreRider, HG Point, and Tridy Games were among the first to run games on the new infrastructure, where session time, retention and revenue per user already outperform some of the established channels they use, and continue to climb.

Wrap completes the new infrastructure for games on standalone websites by Playgama, which now covers the full cycle: publishing, monetization, and growth. The other half of the stack, Playgama Ad, publicly launched earlier this year, handles advanced monetization — bringing standalone HTML5 games closer to the monetization standards of the mobile games industry — and player acquisition across the Playgama ad network. For developer, the result is a full-fledged game website of their own — with player-ready UX, in-game purchases, SEO and game analytics out of the box, plus monetization and UA. Business-wise, it’s an additional distribution channel that lets games reach a different audience — a global pool of about 500 million monthly web players.

Dmitry Kachmar, Founder of Playgama: "The industry has shifted again, and games on standalone domains have grown into a segment of their own. We see midcore projects, social live-service games, and a large share of revenue coming from in-game purchases. Gaming used to be built entirely on platform-driven discovery and algorithms — now developers want to take back control and scale games on their own terms. Our job is to provide them with the tools. And while the cost of acquiring players in mobile stores is turning them into a red ocean, the open internet is still a blue one, on mobile and desktop alike."

Publishing with Playgama Wrap takes three steps: integrate the open-source Playgama Bridge SDK, upload the game, then configure and publish it in the console. Updates sync automatically, and the domain is the only thing the developer buys — and owns outright. The new tooling works for any mobile or PC project that can be adapted to HTML5, but it is the strongest fit for games that are platform-agnostic by nature and ship across many ecosystems at once. One more advantage of the website is that it can be grown through any UA channel — web, mobile, or social.

Three months after launch with Wrap, Hazmob FPS draws 120,000 visits a month to its own domain, according to Playgama data. The channel already delivers revenue comparable to many of the web portals the game is distributed on, and Playgama expects it to grow severalfold over the next 6–12 months.

Ozgur Hazar, Founder of Hazmob: "With Playgama, our standalone site went from an experiment to one of our most promising channels. What matters more is that it is ours: the traffic, the brand, the monetization setup. That is the part no store or portal can give you."

Playgama Wrap will be available through Developer Dashboard, with a gradual rollout to all developers over the coming weeks. The first developers get access today, August 21.
