Minnesota, U.S.A. September 2026 | It’s time to gather the party! Sawtooth Games is bringing Revenge of the Firstborn to Steam Party-Based RPG Fest, running September 14-21, with a newly updated demo showcasing a major visual overhaul for the story-rich, tactical turn-based RPG.
Inspired by the classic D&D 3.5 SRD ruleset, Revenge of the Firstborn combines party-based tactical combat, character customization, dungeon crawling, and narrative-driven exploration. The latest demo gives players a look at how the game is evolving visually alongside its ongoing development.
The update introduces refreshed UI screens, upgraded spell effects, and extensive lighting improvements throughout the game’s dungeons and interiors. Torches and other light sources now interact more naturally with their surroundings, adding more atmosphere and depth to environments as players explore.
New environmental physics allows grass to react as party members move through it, helping make the world feel more responsive as adventurers trek from one encounter to the next.
