CALIFORNIA/SINGAPORE – Razer™, the world's leading lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced the launch of its AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore, marking the first phase of its AI global strategy. As part of a broader plan to establish interconnected AI hubs, the Singapore facility sets the foundation for future centres in Europe and the United States, expanding Razer’s global reach and collaborative potential.

This strategic expansion comes amid rapid growth in the gaming industry, which is projected to reach nearly US$400 billion by 2033. AI gaming alone is expected to surge to US$28 billion, growing at a compound annual rate of 28.4%. The United States, as one of the largest and most dynamic gaming markets globally, represents a significant opportunity for future AI innovation and developer collaboration.

“Razer’s global AI Centres of Excellence are a strategic investment in AI gaming. By advancing research, talent, and product innovation, we aim to lead the future of gaming. Our Singapore centre will be a key driver of this mission, alongside our hubs in Europe and the USA,” said Li-Meng Lee, Chief Strategy Officer at Razer. “Our goal is to empower game developers with the tools that deliver more immersive, intelligent, and efficient gaming experiences at scale.”

Driving AI Gaming Innovation in Singapore

Supported by Digital Industry Singapore (a joint office by Singapore Economic Development Board, EnterpriseSG and Infocomm Media Development Authority), the new centre will serve as a cornerstone of Razer's efforts to develop next-generation AI gaming technologies. Poised to become one of Singapore’s largest and most advanced AI gaming facilities, the new centre is designed to accelerate innovation by cultivating expert talent, conducting advanced research, and fast-tracking product development. Its mission is to deliver AI-powered gaming solutions that improve production efficiency, deepen player engagement, and elevate game quality worldwide. This initiative aligns with Singapore's national vision to strengthen its AI capabilities and lead digital transformation.

With support from Digital Industry Singapore, Razer will hire 150 AI specialists locally, spanning disciplines such as engineering, data science, and game development. To support this growth, Razer has introduced a skills-first, high-engagement hiring process tailored for AI roles. Designed to attract top talent and streamline recruitment, the process offers a fast and efficient experience for applicants while enabling Razer to scale its AI capabilities effectively. Interested candidates can explore available opportunities on Razer’s website.

“Razer’s launch of their AI Centre of Excellence highlights Singapore’s appeal as a location for AI development within digitally advanced sectors,” said Philbert Gomez, Executive Director and Head, Digital Industry Singapore. “Razer’s innovation in AI-powered gaming solutions will also present opportunities for talent to build flagship AI gaming products from Singapore, strengthening our position as an AI innovation hub for the region.”

Flagship AI Gaming Technologies and Global Collaboration

Razer’s AI suite is designed to empower developers and studios with intelligent tools that enhance gameplay, streamline development, and accelerate innovation. Leading the portfolio is Razer Game Co-AI, a generative AI copilot that provides real-time tactical coaching tailored to individual player behaviour, enabling more dynamic and personalized gaming experiences. Complementing this is Razer QA Companion (QA Co-AI), an AI-powered solution that automates quality assurance testing and bug detection. By reducing QA time by up to 50%, QA Co-AI helps developers improve game quality, lower production costs, and accelerate time-to-market. Currently in beta testing with AAA, AA, and indie studios, the tool has received strong early feedback and is scheduled for global launch on AWS Marketplace in the coming months.

Razer’s upcoming AI hubs in Europe and the United States will build on the foundation established in Singapore, focusing on regional innovation and talent development. The European centre will lead the growth of WYVRN, Razer’s comprehensive developer platform designed to streamline workflows, enhance creativity, and elevate player immersion. Through a single SDK, developers will gain streamlined access to Razer’s proprietary technologies, including Razer AI Game Tools, Razer Sensa HD Haptics, Razer Chroma RGB, and THX Spatial, enabling the creation of more immersive and responsive gaming experiences.
