Fremantle, Australia - January 16, 2024 | With the launch of Barton Lynch Pro Surfing on November 17 PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S, The Western Australian-based studio Bungarra Software have been hard at work on addressing fan feedback. Patch update v1.06 is now live and available to download on all platforms.
Update v1.06 includes (but is not limited to) the following:
Camera:
- Added first-person POV camera
- Added tip in Tips Menu to show that the player can enter first-person mode by press RS/R3
- Improved third-person camera that allows for the player to get a lot closer to the surfer.
Challenge Mode UI:
- Fixed pop-ups that would occur when the user would upload their score after completing the Air Show (PS5).
- Fixed occasional black screen render issue coming into a level.
Leaderboard Legends UI:
- Fixed various leaderboard scoring and combo scoring issues
Leaderboard Legends UI:
- Modified scoring accuracy
Character Creator:
- Fixed blend shape issue with branded fins a certain gun surfboards not fitting correctly.
Gameplay:
- Added D-Pad control adjust so that the player can re-assign the right & left shoulder camera to the D-Pad's left and right buttons. Music moved to left and right buttons on the D-Pad in the pause menu.
- Fixed Manly, Hossegor & J-Bay errant NPCs walking in odd spots.
Furthermore, Bungarra Software remain dedicated to ensuring long-term support for Barton Lynch Pro Surfing, and are still working on further improvements to the game with new features and quality of life initiatives.
These improvements include, but are not limited to:
- Improving water shader graphics (in progress)
- Adding more variety in the waves in the same heat or even in freesurfing (in progress)
- Extending the heat time (longer term)
- Sdding A.I. to Freesurf along with PWC gameplay considerations (longer term)
- Adding Fan Hub to allow for custom character and Tour creation
- General QA bug list
