Specializing in commercials, short films, and music videos, their focus for the past 15 years has been “micro-entertainment that’s fun.” Presently, they have taken the plunge into the world of video-based online games, with their first offering: The Mad Bomber Online Escape Game.
The Mad Bomber Online Escape Game was inspired by Struck Down Entertainment’s love of escape rooms, classic 80s cartoons, and puns. It also just might be the first video-based escape game of its kind.
In this game, you play as the World’s Greatest Detective; hot on the trail of Bombkers, the nefarious and nonsensical Mad Bomber. Bombkers has taken The City hostage with his elaborate and colorful explosives. Explosives that can only be diffused by solving escape room styled puzzles, of course.
Throughout the game Bombkers taunts players –as any good 80s cartoon villain would- by hurling softball insults and spouting a barrage of ridiculous and over-the-top puns.
Owner, Dominic Luongo stated, “I really wanted to make an escape game that would make people laugh and also be a challenge for them and their friends.”
Altogether, people can expect traditional escape room gameplay from the comfort of their own home. If you’ve played an escape game, you know what this means. Players solve puzzles to find a thing, and then use that thing to “unlock” the next part of the game. And, instead of rooms, everything will be delivered via online videos.
Be sure to grab a notebook and writing utensil. It'll pay to stay organized.
Much like a regular escape game, teamwork is paramount in solving the puzzles and "escaping the room".
