TOKYO, Japan – January 5, 2026 – Opera House Co., Ltd. shares that the laid-back side-scrolling action game “Gudetamarun,” featuring Sanrio’s popular character Gudetama, is currently available on Nintendo eShop in multiple regions. The title originally released on September 18, 2025.
Gudetamarun follows Gudetama—who would prefer to stay unmotivated—as it rides quirky vehicles and progresses through playful and sometimes chaotic stages. Players adjust Gudetama’s motivation to overcome obstacles, avoid hazards, and reach the goal at their own pace.
Although the game appears calm at first glance, each stage features unique gimmicks, tricky hazards, and boss encounters. Its simple controls make the game approachable for all players, while completing every stage requires genuine skill—creating a charming contrast between Gudetama’s laziness and the game’s challenge.
