August 31, 2026 | Indie developer SyKoHPaTh has officially launched Fantasy Waifu Collector on Steam today. The fantasy RPG is available for $19.99, with a 40% launch discount bringing the price down to $11.99 for the first week.
Fantasy Waifu Collector drops players into a world slowly falling into ruin as monsters spread across the land. Newly awakened and tasked with helping restore it, players recruit a growing army of Waifus, build a town for them to call home, strengthen their team, and uncover what is really happening behind the world’s decay.
And yes, defeating the Demon King is probably part of the solution. Probably.
At the heart of the game is Waifu collecting, with characters obtained through gacha-style recruitment and unlocks. Each Waifu features RPG-style progression, skills, combat roles, and relationships with friends and rivals that can influence their effectiveness in battle. Players can level their favorites, upgrade their gear, unlock additional clothing, and customize equipment that is visually reflected directly on each character.
Outside of combat, players can develop a growing town populated by Chibi versions of their collected Waifus. Buildings including the Castle, Barracks, Warehouse, Salon, School, Marketplace, Stadium, Quest Post, and Arena can be unlocked as players progress, opening access to additional systems and activities.

- Collect and Train Waifus: Recruit characters through gacha and unlocks, level them up, develop their skills, assign combat roles, and manage friend and rival relationships that affect battle.
- Build a Living Waifu Town: Unlock buildings including the Castle, Barracks, Warehouse, Salon, School, Marketplace, Stadium, Quest Post, and Arena while Chibi versions of recruited Waifus wander and live throughout the town.
- Customize Your Equipment: Find tiered gear, improve equipment through the Blacksmith’s stat-tempering system, and see equipment changes reflected directly on Waifu characters in-game.
- Unlock More Outfits: Expand character customization with additional clothing options earned throughout the game.
- Take on Multiple Quest Types: Hunt monsters, respond to Urgent Quests, gather resources, harvest materials, mine, capture targets, and complete Adoption Quests.
- Survive Waifu Survivor: Jump into a top-down, bullet-hell inspired wave survival mode and see how long your team can hold out.
- Explore Dungeons & Battle World Bosses: Venture into dungeons and take on larger threats as your collection becomes stronger.
- Join Warbands: Participate in guild-based strategic combat alongside other players.
- Online & Offline Play: Play offline or head online for PvE, PvP, guilds, and additional multiplayer features.
- Seasonal & Limited-Time Events: New activities and challenges give players reasons to return beyond the main adventure.
- Keep Progressing: Upgrade equipment, complete Daily Objectives, work through the Battle Pass, and advance the Main Story to unlock increasingly difficult quests.
- Full Controller Support: Play with full controller support, including an on-screen keyboard.
- Control the Pace: Supported modes include selectable 1x, 2x, and 4x battle speeds.
- Dig Into the Lore: An in-game Storybook library lets players read more about the world and its history.
- Steam Achievements: Achievement hunters have another list to work through while building their Waifu army.

Launch isn’t the end of development for Fantasy Waifu Collector. SyKoHPaTh plans to continue the update schedule established throughout development, with monthly content updates planned following release.
