TOKYO — July 24, 2025 — The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily, the crowd-controlling turn-based strategy game produced by Alliance Arts, rallies the masses for revolution with today’s launch on PC via Steam with a special launch 10% week discount until Thursday, July 31st.
Wrongly accused of the Emperor’s murder, Duchess Scarlet flees the Imperial Capital and joins forces with Lily, a time-travelling, premier strategist. Together, the two hatch a plan to incite a rebellion and clear Scarlet’s name. Their weapon of choice? An airship with cutting-edge streaming technology.
Take to the battlefield with the power of propaganda on Scarlet’s side. Spread rumors of incoming attacks to distract enemy battalions, then interfere with their supply lines to weaken their firepower. Freeze their advancements with a Stalling Stream, or cut off their supplies with an Interception Stream.
Once their defenses are lowered, it's time to act—convince entire squadrons to concede with a Surrender Stream, or swiftly strike vulnerable posts with a Hustle Stream. Capitalize on Lily’s cunning personality with a Capture Stream to convert enemy generals to Scarlet’s cause, or slaughter with no remorse in a take-no-prisoners approach.
Each defected general brings new expertise and abilities to the war effort, while each slain general increases combat power at the cost of shifting Lily and Scarlet’s personality over time. Nurture bonds between ally units, increasing their strength and unlocking special tag-team skills after successive team battles.
A proper strategist is always a few steps ahead. Carve out a path to victory where brains beat brawn through ambush tactics, long-term sieges, or full-scale attacks at strategic locations. Be on guard against surprise attacks and Imperial reinforcements, and sacrifice less important outposts to focus units on powerful enemy outposts.
Will the Rebellion topple the oppressive Empire, or become the new oppressor regime? Strike a balance between mercy and massacre along a branching narrative where every kill of a high-ranking official paints a less noble picture of the rebellion, leading Scarlet to become the very thing she’s been accused of being — a murderer.
