November 2, 2026 – Indie team Sleepy Amigos has opened the Steam page for Sink My Bricks!, a co-op pirate roguelite, and revealed the game’s first trailer. Players can wishlist it now.
Sink My Bricks! is a first-person pirate game developed by Sleepy Amigos, an indie team of three. For most of its development Nikolai Egorov worked on the project alone, but now a whole team is building the game. It was previously shown in short videos under the working title Shiver My Bricks!
What sets the game apart is that the islands, the ships and even the sea are built from bricks, and all of it can be destroyed. You can play solo or in a crew of up to four. Together, players raid archipelagos, board enemy ships and patch holes in their own hull in the middle of a fight. Players can modify the ships already in the game or build their own from scratch.
Your ship matters most, because as long as it stays afloat, it is the only place where fallen players respawn. That’s why the whole crew has to look after it together. There is no traditional health bar. A hit knocks off a hero’s limbs, which can be picked up and put back on, and a lost arm can be replaced with a prosthetic or the paw of a defeated monster.
A run takes about an hour. In that time the crew makes its way through three procedurally generated archipelagos, each ending with a boss, and faces the Flying Dutchman in the finale. Over time the weather gets worse, and the toughest enemies come out at night. Between runs, players unlock new weapons, ship modules, ship-building parts and artifacts that change the rules of the game.
The game already has an audience. The development videos have passed 10 million views across platforms, and more than 50,000 people follow the project on social media.
