Revealed during the Xbox broadcast at gamescom, the crossplay Beta for Arkheron, the competitive PvP game from Bonfire Studios, runs from September 25 to 27 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Access codes will soon be available for journalists and content creators!
Arkheron is the first game from Bonfire Studios, founded by Rob Pardo, former Chief Creative Officer of Blizzard Entertainment and a key creative force behind World of Warcraft, Warcraft III and StarCraft, alongside fellow Blizzard veterans and former Nexon America CEO Min Kim. Teams of three battle their way up a mysterious, surreal Tower. There are no fixed heroes or roles: players build their loadout on the fly, looting items that unlock powerful abilities and playstyles that evolve from floor to floor.This second beta brings PC and console players together for the first time, along with fresh gameplay improvements and two ways to play. In Spires, teams jump straight into fast-paced 3v3 arena fights, perfect for testing new builds, sharpening teamwork and mastering Arkheron's combat. In Ascension, 15 teams and 45 players fight monsters and eliminate rivals floor by floor, until the last two teams meet at the summit for a winner-takes-all showdown.
