After 3 Years of Solo Development, a New Roman City-Builder Approaches Full Release

As interest in Roman-themed city-builders continues to grow, Pompeii: The Legacy is now preparing for its full release on April 9, 2026, following a 3-day delay from the originally planned April 6 launch, aimed at ensuring stronger visibility and proper wishlist notifications.

Built over three years by a solo developer, the game offers a different take on the Roman genre, combining classic city-building with a narrative-driven experience set in Pompeii, where players shape the city across generations.

Ahead of launch, a major update arriving mid next week will introduce the complete story campaign into Early Access, alongside the official release trailer. This will give players and creators an early opportunity to experience the full scope of the game before release.

With renewed attention on the Roman setting in strategy games, Pompeii: The Legacy stands out by focusing not only on expansion and economy, but also on the long-term development of the city and its people.

Content creators, streamers, and journalists are invited to request access ahead of release. Keys are available now, and early coverage is especially valuable for a solo-developed project.

The full release on April 9 will include the complete campaign, expanded systems, and the final gameplay layer.
