Boasting more than 20 years of experience as a sound designer, Favre’s career spans multiple AAA studios, most recently Sony Santa Monica Studio where he successfully led his team on God of War: Ragnarok as the studio’s audio director. His efforts aided in the game picking up Best Audio Design at The Game Awards 2022, Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design at the D.I.C.E Awards 2023, an additional 14 wins at the Game Audio Network Guild Awards 2023 and a BAFTA for Audio Achievement.
Favre also assisted in the advancement of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s audio technology by collaborating directly with its research and development team.
Prior to his role at Sony Santa Monica Studio as an audio director, Favre held similar positions at two other AAA studios: Ubisoft and Junction Point Studios / Disney Interactive, the latter of which he led the audio design and implementation for Epic Mickey: The Power of Two. Earlier in his career, Favre assisted in the audio development of Saints Row 1 & 2 as a senior sound designer at Deep Silver Volition. Favre’s extensive experience draws from similar credits and positions on over 20 additional games ranging from casual, sports, FPS, to open-world and action adventure games.
Favre’s onboarding marks one of multiple high-level additions to 1047 Games’ audio team. With a commitment to creating a peerless audio experience for its next title, 1047 Games has further bolstered its audio department with hires who have previously worked on AAA, blockbuster titles, including Halo Infinite and DOOM Eternal. In total, 1047 Games is composed of more than 110 team members - many of whom have joined from high profile roles at AAA studios to help shape and complete the vision of the next entry in the Splitgate universe.
Splitgate launched on PC in 2019, with a team of 20 people. Xbox and PlayStation versions followed in 2021 resulting in over 20 million downloads to date. Splitgate is one of the most successful online multiplayer shooter games in recent years, combining time-tested mechanics with a fun physics-based design. 1047 Games’ next game is currently in development.
