Yarn Guardians Launch Moved to August 14, 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dortmund, August 6, 2025 – Indie publisher Bold Head Interactive and Saarland-based developer Pentapaw Studios have announced that the upcoming 2D action-adventure Yarn Guardians will now release on August 14, 2025 across all platforms: Steam, Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch.

The reason for the short delay is the finalization of the game’s multi-language localization. While the game is nearly complete from a technical and content standpoint, the developers aim to provide a consistent and high-quality launch experience for players worldwide, regardless of language.

“We know how important a truly global launch is for our community. That’s why we want to make sure all languages are fully integrated and receive the same attention to detail as the game itself.”
Andre Wilimzig-Scholz, Publisher (Bold Head Interactive)

Yarn Guardians blends fast-paced twin-stick action with Metroidvania-style exploration, all set in a whimsical, hand-drawn world. Players control a team of five flying cats, each with unique abilities, as they embark on a heartfelt, magical, and yarn-powered quest.

The public demo remains available on Steam, allowing players to experience the early stages of the game ahead of launch.

New release date: August 14, 2025

Platforms: Steam, Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch
