Worlds Upon The Wind Now Available on Steam

A roguelite world-restoration deckbuilder, made from classical Japanese artwork, is now available.

Portland, OR - July 23, 2026 - Worlds Upon The Wind, a peaceful deckbuilder about restoring the shards of a shattered world, is now available for Windows, Linux, and Mac on Steam for $9.99.

In this meditative roguelite, players use an evolving deck of cards to resettle world shards floating among the clouds. Each shard is a unique combination of biomes, challenges, and events, which develops according to player choices. Gameplay focuses on designing card and relic synergies and crafting unique builds while solving social, economic, and personal dilemmas within narrative vignettes.
In addition to an infinitely replayable endgame, players will experience a 20 hour long main quest that continues to layer new mechanics all the way to the end, including exploratory surveys, capital cities, landmarks, card crafting, restless spirits, animal companions, side quests, and more. Players can rise to these challenges by unlocking new abilities from the a variety of elaborate skill trees.
The game's artwork is made from real historical woodblock prints and painted scrolls covering centuries of the Japanese artistic tradition, all adapted into a cohesive whole. Those with an interest in art history will enjoy the integrated art wiki that includes unedited original images and historical context for hundreds of pieces of artwork. Those learning Japanese can also enjoy the optional language practice minigames integrated into the experience.
