Warsaw, Poland - 9th December, 2025 - Crunchfest today released the playable demo for Codex Mortis, a necromantic survival bullet hell that makes gaming history as the first 100% AI-generated playable game. Plan your build, combine spells into synergies, and watch the battlefield erupt in beautiful chaos. The demo is available now on Steam for solo or local co-op play.
Codex Mortis offers deep customization. Before each run begins, players assemble their squad and craft their necromancer from dozens of unique skills across five schools of dark magic: Necromancy, Summoning, Blood Magic, Soul Magic, and Curses. Theory-craft synergies, design builds that result in explosive combinations, and prepare for the chaos that awaits. Once the mission starts, watch your carefully planned masterpiece unfold as you detonate corpses, command undead armies, and sacrifice blood for apocalyptic explosions - solo or with friends.
In the demo, players face a deadly challenge: collect five ancient pages and defeat the portal guardian before the immortal Lothar tracks them down. Along the way, they'll perform powerful rituals to strengthen their necromancer, battle guardians protecting cursed artifacts, and claim urns containing the souls of fallen heroes who can fight alongside them. The more spells you combine, the more beautiful the destruction becomes.
