April 27, 2023 - STOIC ENTERTAINMENT announced numerous major updates for their Quest2 VR tank battle game, World War Toons: Tank Arena VR. The update brings about many improvements and changes to the fast-paced tank-on-tank battle game that is expected to boost the action and user convenience greatly.
The first major improvements are with the in-game social features, mainly the friends invite and group matching systems. Starting from the April 27th update, players will be able to invite other players as friends by a) adding the friend’s in-game ID or b) sending invite messages or direct requests after playing a match with them via the UI features that pop up right after each match. After becoming friends, any player can become a host to create groups with their friends to join as a team in future matches.
Another improvement made with feedback from new users is the ‘automatic reload’ option. This feature was added to help new users who found reloading difficult. The default option is ON, but can be turned off in the settings.
Other quality-of-life changes are also noteworthy. The tutorial has also been upgraded, adding various skill effects and headshot points to inform players of the game’s features.
STOIC has also implemented more language support – now the game can be enjoyed not only in English and Korean, but also six other languages (Simplified Chinese, Latin American Spanish, German, Italian, French and Japanese).

STOIC is also starting two events for users. The Update Rewards Event, which starts on the 27th, will be a login reward event for all users who have already purchased the game. After logging in for the first time after the update, users will receive 10,000 Gold and 5 Loot Boxes. One thing to note is that to be eligible for the rewards, you must have completed the in-game tutorial.
The second is the ‘Gold Booster’ event, where you can get double Gold for playing game matches. STOIC hopes this will alleviate some of the complaints the beginner users had with the somewhat steep growth curve at the early stages of the game. This booster event will start on April 27th and last until May 24th.
STOIC plans to continue to improve and tweak WWT: TAVR to add more features for exciting, interactive 4v4 tank battles in VR.
