Witsteen Publishes a FAQ for ‘Battle for Randland,’ Addressing Fan Questions on The Wheel of Time Digital Card Game

Antwerp, September 11, 2025 – Witsteen today released a detailed FAQ for Battle for Randland, the officially licensed The Wheel of Time digital trading card game. The document addresses key community questions head-on, outlining the studio’s development philosophy, commitment to lore authenticity, and fair monetization model.

The FAQ was created in direct response to ongoing discussions within The Wheel of Time fan community, covering topics such as the game’s title, the use of AI in art, monetization, and Witsteen’s vision as a newly founded studio dedicated entirely to this project.

Key points clarified in the FAQ include:

• The Name ‘Randland’: Acknowledged as a fan-term chosen for its recognizability, with a commitment to using strictly in-universe names and lore within the game itself.

• AI Art: A transparent explanation of its current, limited role in prototyping, with a stated goal to replace AI-assisted artwork with hand-drawn and commissioned pieces over time.

• Monetization: A firm commitment to a non-pay-to-win model, with competitive advantages earned solely through gameplay. Revenue will come from a seasonal battle pass, optional cosmetics, and purchasable chests balanced for fairness.

• Platforms: The game will launch on Steam, Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android with full cross-play and cross-progression support.

• Studio Vision: Witsteen was founded with the sole purpose of building Battle for Randland. The team studied community feedback from the previous project, expanded areas that worked, and removed elements that did not fit, with the goal of creating a long-term, fan-focused experience.
