Press release

WWII Horde Shooter Milo Storms Into Steam Early Access on October 29

Fight alone or with up to three friends against cultist hordes, feed your rats, and spend your tickets at the arcade.

BRISBANE, Australia, October 2026 – Milo, a round-based WWII horde shooter in the spirit of classic Call of Duty Zombies from solo developer rat cream games and publisher Yarrawah Interactive, launches into Steam Early Access on October 29, 2026 for US$19.99.

Players wake up in a body they don't recognise, abandoned in a hellish war zone and hunted by a cult with an unhealthy obsession with a mysterious beverage. They survive endless waves solo or in co-op for up to four players. The dead feed a growing mischief of rats and charge a mysterious ability to pop corpses, and the tickets players earn buy upgrades at Traang, Milo's arcade.

Milo already has a following. Its alpha and demo were picked up by MoistCr1TiKaL, ItsJonathanReed, Alpha Beta Gamer and a long list of COD Zombies creators, with press coverage from 80 Level, Game Rant, OtakuKart, TechTimes and Gamerficial.

Early Access launch features

  • 1–4 player co-op, online or LAN, plus solo play
  • 12+ WWII-era weapons, including the Kar98, M1 Garand, PPSh-41 and M1911
  • One playable class at launch: the Survivor
  • Rat feeding: the dead grow your mischief of rats and charge your corpse-popping ability
  • Earn tickets playing basketball and spend them on upgrades at Traang, Milo's arcade
  • Stackable buffs, the Cream Machine and other bizarre interactables
  • Kill in Order wave rule and global leaderboards
  • Custom dismemberment, blood and procedural IK animation, built in Unreal Engine 5

The road ahead
Milo will stay in Early Access for about two years. Planned additions include new maps, weapons, enemy types and wave rules, new classes, more arcade content, rat customization, deeper progression, accessibility options, localization, and visual and performance work. Milo is US$19.99 during Early Access and the price will rise when it leaves Early Access. Players can help shape the roadmap through Steam Discussions and the official Discord.
