Vault of the Void Brings Strategic Card-Battling to Nintendo Switch on April 3rd

Brisbane, Australia – March 24, 2025 – The critically acclaimed roguelike deckbuilder Vault of the Void is making its highly anticipated debut on Nintendo Switch this April 3rd, delivering its signature blend of skill-based card play, deep customisation, and zero-RNG combat to a whole new audience.

With over 140,000 copies sold and a 93% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, Vault of the Void has become a fan-favourite among strategy gamers for its commitment to rewarding player decisions—not luck.
Switch players can look forward to:

  • Deckbuilding, Evolved – Build and edit your deck at any time, even mid-run—breaking genre norms and putting total control in your hands. No more locked-in decisions or forced synergies—adapt, optimise, and outplay the Void.
  • No RNG, Just Strategy – Every turn is under your control. Plan your path and refine your deck with full visibility.
  • Crossplay Enabled – Make your way to the Void on the go or at home, with seamless cross-save and crossplay support across PC, mobile and now Switch!
  • Content-Packed Experience – Four unique classes, over 440 cards, multiple challenge modes, and regular content updates.

Developed by indie studio Spider Nest Games -- Vault of the Void has carved a unique niche in the deckbuilding genre with its clean UI, deep mechanics, and player-first design. The project began as a solo passion project by Australian developer Josh Bruce, who set out to create a card game that rewards strategy over randomness.

Following its successful PC release, Vault of the Void launched on iOS and Android in June 2024, earning rave reviews from mobile players and critics alike. With a 4.8+ star rating across app stores and praise for its smooth touch controls and full feature parity with the PC version, the mobile release introduced thousands of new players to the game’s strategic depth. Crossplay and cross-save support have helped unite the player base, making it one of the most accessible premium card battlers on mobile.

“Vault of the Void isn’t just another card battler—it’s our love letter to strategic play,” says Josh Bruce, developer and artist. “We wanted to remove the randomness and let the player’s choices shine. Bringing that vision to Switch is a huge milestone for us.”

Whether you're a longtime fan or discovering the game for the first time, the Nintendo Switch version of Vault of the Void offers the complete experience—refined, accessible, and portable.

Vault of the Void will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $17.99 USD / €14,99 / ¥1840 / HK$86.
