Upcoming indie game The Case of Andre D. - demo released

Introducing "The Case of Andrew D." - an independent video game that blends OSINT and digital forensics for an immersive investigative experience.

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of "The Case of Andrew D." an innovative independent video game that puts players in the shoes of a private eye, utilizing their OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) and digital forensic skills to crack complex cases.

A freshly released demo is now available to the public. Players can get a taste of the game's gameplay and storytelling, and immerse themselves in the world of digital investigations. The demo provides a glimpse into the investigative mechanics that players can expect in the full version.

In the demo, you are employed as an intern and work with the team's other members to resolve situations that call for the use of digital forensics. Can you aid in the fraudster's capture? Can you assist in the search for a young man who vanished without leaving a trace? Your goal in "The Case of Andrew D." is to extract as much information as you can from the limited data present in genuine files, building on the concepts introduced in our previous game, "The USB Stick Found in The Grass". Use a remote client to connect to the company's server (emulated, no real connection required), view all reports submitted by other team members, and download to your computer files that have either been gathered by the private investigators you work with or sent by clients. Once the files have been downloaded, examine them using your knowledge of forensics and any tools you may already have on your computer (or choose to download and install). Locate locations, identify hints concealed in papers, unzip password-protected zip files, and convey the information to the team. The information you gather will advance the investigation. The system will also allow you to understand the story behind the inquiry from information that is explicitly stated in the files and reports as well as oblique hints you uncover in the data.

The game demo was initially shown to the public over the last weekend in May at the Pixel Heaven event in Warsaw, and it is now available on Steam.
