Mumbai, 3rd November, 2026 : Revenant XSpark (RNTX), one of India's leading esports and gaming organisations, has announced the return of Tenzin “Shadow” Kelsang, the two-time BGMI champion who helped deliver two of the organisation's most celebrated victories, alongside the signing of Harsh “Phoenix” Khandelwal, a member of Nebula Esports' BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 5 championship-winning squad. The two additions complete RNTX's revamped five-player BGMI roster, which will make its competitive debut at the Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) 2026.
Shadow's return marks a reunion with the organisation where he enjoyed one of the most successful chapters of his competitive career. As the in-game leader of Team XSpark, he guided the squad to victory at the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 and Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024, securing two of India's most prestigious BGMI titles in the same year. Those back-to-back triumphs established the roster as one of the country's leading competitive teams and became defining moments in the history of Team XSpark, which subsequently joined forces with Revenant Esports to form Revenant XSpark.
Beyond the trophies, Shadow built a strong connection with the organisation's supporters through his leadership and performances during that championship-winning run. Since his departure in 2025, fans have consistently expressed their desire to see him return to RNTX colours. His comeback now brings a familiar face and proven championship experience back into the squad, reconnecting the organisation with a player closely associated with its competitive legacy.
Adding to the excitement is the arrival of Phoenix, who joins Revenant XSpark following a successful stint with Nebula Esports. The 20-year-old was part of the roster that clinched BGMS Season 5 in September 2026, one of the biggest BGMI titles of the year. The team secured the championship with 210 points across the Grand Finals, earning the ₹40 lakh winner's prize. Phoenix's competitive record also includes victories at the Rising Championship Season 2 and Rising Star Invitational 2026, establishing him as a promising talent with championship-winning experience.
The combination of Shadow and Phoenix brings together two different strengths: an established leader who has previously guided the organisation to major titles and a young competitor arriving with recent success at the highest level of domestic BGMI. Their addition reflects Revenant XSpark's intent to rebuild around proven competitive experience while introducing fresh talent capable of contributing to the team's next chapter.
Rohit Jagasia, Founder and CEO of Revenant XSpark, said, "Shadow's return is special for us because he has been an important part of some of our biggest achievements in BGMI. Winning BGIS and BMPS in the same year was an incredible moment for everyone associated with Team XSpark, and we know how much those memories mean to our fans. We've seen the community asking for his comeback, so we're delighted to welcome him back. At the same time, Phoenix brings fresh energy and the experience of winning BGMS this year. We're bringing together players who understand what it takes to compete at the highest level, and we're looking forward to seeing how this roster develops."
The refreshed lineup will feature Pain, Trace, Ninja, Shadow and Phoenix, with Explicit continuing as head coach and Chirag serving as analyst. The changes follow the departures of Sukuna and Proton, as the organisation reshapes its squad ahead of the upcoming competitive calendar.
While Shadow's return carries significant emotional value for RNTX supporters, the new roster will also face the challenge of translating its individual experience into collective performances. With players bringing different competitive backgrounds and recent tournament experience, the focus will be on building coordination, consistency and a strong competitive identity under the existing coaching setup.
The team's first competitive appearance together will be at CEGC 2026, providing an early opportunity to assess the new lineup against established BGMI competition.
Revenant XSpark enters this new phase with a strong competitive history, including its BGIS 2024 and BMPS 2024 championships. With a former title-winning leader returning and a reigning BGMS champion joining the ranks, the organisation will look to build on that legacy as it begins its next competitive chapter.
