The completely normal, not meta or psychological, fun-to-play 2D RPG sees players take control of a plane crew who have found themselves in a strange realm following a plane crash back in 2020. Theodore, Vander and Evana are the puppets under the player’s control, with their every move, decision, and even whether an enemy lives or dies all resting in the hands of the one behind the screen.
With a nostalgic art style reminiscent of classic JRPGs, Night Spasm boasts an impressive array of contributors. There are over 70 artists, musicians and programmers behind the production of the multi-chapter project. The result is a beautifully designed world bursting with atmospheric music, witty dialogue, and intense self-reflective themes that will have players questioning their own free will and the value of life.
