Feral Interactive is proud to announce that Total War: ROME II, one of the most celebrated of Creative Assembly’s grand strategy series, is once again available for macOS. This updated Apple Silicon-native version takes full advantage of modern Mac hardware and is available as a free upgrade to all owners of the original release on Steam and the Mac App Store.

Total War: ROME II returns to macOS as the Emperor Edition, arriving complete with all the free updates ever released for the game. Also included is the Imperator Augustus campaign, set in the tempestuous aftermath of Julius Caesar’s assassination, which brings with it an additional 10 playable factions and matches the base game’s Grand Campaign in both scope and scale.
On a richly detailed Campaign Map spanning Europe, North Africa and the Near East, players vie to extend the reach of the Roman Republic or to repel it. Commanding one of 18 playable factions, their ancient world empires will prosper through deft diplomacy, economic manoeuvring, spying and sabotage. Where politics and subterfuge fail, players may rout their rivals through conquest by deploying a huge variety of land and naval units in epic 3D battles.
Five Campaign Packs and five Culture Packs are also available to purchase, some on macOS for the very first time. These add further playable factions in distinct new settings, such as the existential clash between Scipio’s Rome and Hannibal’s Carthage, or Athens and Sparta’s jostling for control of the Hellenic world. They also extend the scope of the Grand Campaign, adding 16 new playable factions including great African kingdoms and the raiding tribes of the Balkans.
Total War: ROME II — Emperor Edition has returned to macOS on the Feral Store, Steam and the Mac App Store; previous owners of the game on Steam or the Mac App Store can update at no extra charge. Campaign and Culture Packs are available to purchase on the Feral Store and Steam, and via in-app purchase in the Mac App Store version, with a discounted bundle of content also available to Feral Store and Mac App Store buyers.
