Wrocław, October 22 - Halloween is back in Dying Light 2: Stay Human, and this year, the night is getting louder. Patch 1.30 kicks off Halloween Showdown 2026, bringing a spooky atmosphere to Villedor, a three-week community event, new rewards and more reasons for both new and returning players to face the fear of the night.
Make More Noise
Villedor has transformed for Halloween, with Día de los Muertos-inspired decorations across the open world and a more traditional Halloween atmosphere in Tower Raid. Halloween-themed enemies also return, making the seasonal takeover more than just a visual change.
But Halloween is not just about how Villedor looks. This year, players will once again decide how the celebration unfolds.
Running from October 26 until November 16, Halloween Showdown 2026 is a three-week community event built around monster rivalries and player choice.
Each week, two Halloween creatures face off in a new matchup. Players hunt special enemies, collect Showdown Candies across Villedor and donate them at Baka’s Shop outside the Bazaar to support their chosen side.
By contributing to weekly goals, players can earn a collection of new Psychic weapons, while the monster that receives the most support determines the exclusive Charm available at the end of that week. Reaching both weapon goals allows players to unlock the two main rewards.
Players can follow the competition, check community progress and claim their weekly rewards through the Halloween Showdown page on the Dying Light Outpost.Hear More Fear
This Halloween, danger is not only something players can see. Techland and Embody are teaming up to bring a new dimension of fear to Dying Light.
Sound has always played an important role in building atmosphere, tension and a sense of danger across the Dying Light universe. With Immerse Gamepack integrated through Enhanced Headphone Mode, Techland and Embody are taking that experience further. The audio is tailored to players’ ears and headphones, giving the sounds of Villedor and Castor Woods a greater sense of space and direction.
The collaboration will launch in Dying Light 2: Stay Human and Dying Light: The Beast on November 5 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. From day one, players will be able to try Immerse Gamepack free for 14 days, with access across both games. The trial ends automatically with no charge.
Players who want to continue can purchase a five-year license for a one-time payment, with no subscription or hidden fees. One license covers both games on a single platform, with separate licenses required for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The Best Time to Fear the Night
With Patch 1.30, Halloween Showdown 2026 and seasonal activities running throughout the event, Halloween is a strong moment for both new and returning players to enter Villedor.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human will also be featured in major platform promotions and special offers during the Halloween period, with discounts of up to 80%.
