[15 October 2025] Purple Yonder today announced Little Critters, a mixed reality action-strategy game where players defend their home from an invasion of critters using an arsenal of fun traps and weapons. Coming in Autumn 2025 for the Meta Quest 3 and 3S, the game offers energetic gameplay and blends tactile interactions with physical comedy.
Players must fortify their room by placing virtual traps on walls, ceilings, floors and even furniture, defending their home from waves of mischievous critters that crawl, swoop and attack from every direction. While hands-on gestures, like slapping, grabbing, squashing and throwing enemies immerse players in the action.
Built from the ground up for mixed reality, Little Critters leverages Meta's mixed reality features, focusing on scene tracking to drive the gameplay and hand tracking to offer players a tactile experience. As players navigate through tougher waves of difficulty, they will encounter different critter types and unlock new traps and weapons. The game seamlessly adapts to any room size or shape, demonstrating the possibilities of mixed reality as a platform.
