New York, New York - February 14, 2026 - The Legend of Pirates Online (TLOPO), the fan-made revival of Disney's beloved Pirates of the Caribbean Online MMO, today announced the Valentine’s Day premiere of its feature-length creative documentary, “Kraken's Wake: Behind The Sound”. The film offers players an unprecedented look at the artistry and technical mastery required to score the game's most ambitious expansion to date.
Kraken's Wake: Behind The Sound premieres Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at 7PM Eastern Time, 4PM Pacific.
Since the launch of the "Kraken’s Wake" expansion, The Legend of Pirates Online has seen its active player base double. The expansion has generated more than 750,000 hours of playtime to date.
On the heels of that momentum, the volunteer developer team is pulling back the curtain to share the creative process behind the update. They’re moving the focus toward the artistry and human effort required to bring this next chapter of the game to life.
“For the first time, we're inviting players into the creative process,” said Tyler Grow, Lead Composer for The Legend of Pirates Online. “Kraken's Wake has some of the most impressive work we’ve done, and we wanted the community to see the care and effort that went into every detail.”
Kraken's Wake: Behind The Sound is a two-hour documentary produced by the TLOPO composition team. The film explores the creative process behind the expansion’s original musical score, which was composed specifically to accompany the arrival of the Kraken.
