[ MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA ] Wednesday, 28 May 2025 — Hipster Whale has joined forces with Green Game Jam 2025 and partnered with Take 3 for the Sea to help reduce plastic pollution.
From June 5 - June 22 Crossy Road is teaming up with Take 3 for the Sea and Green Game Jam to help turn the tide on ocean pollution! In the Ocean World Update, releasing on World Environment Day, players will turn trash into treasure by collecting pieces of plastic waste in-game and trading them for daily rewards. There are two brand new Ocean characters joining the Crossy Crew, and a completely reef-freshed Ocean World to explore!
This epic beach clean-up will be supporting the important work done by Take 3 for the Sea, an organisation dedicated to reducing plastic pollution and promoting ocean conservation. By participating players will make waves in-game and IRL, helping Take 3 for the Sea run clean-up events and educational programs that will reach thousands of students!

Beyond the Crossy Road content update, Hipster Whale has made a donation to Take 3 which has supported the organisation to:
- Remove 25,000 pieces of trash from the environment
- Provide 80 clean-up kits to community-led events
- Fund new online learning resources that will reach thousands of students
