THE MUPPETS STAR IN EXCLUSIVE DIGITAL CAMPAIGN FOR DISNEY EMOJI BLITZ AND KICK-OFF SPECIAL HOLIDAY CELEBRATION IN-GAME

“Hi-Ho! Kermit the Frog Is Here!”

WHO:
December 20, 2022 – Leading global entertainment studio Jam City, Inc., today announced Disney Emoji Blitz, the hit match-3 puzzle mobile game featuring hundreds of Disney, Pixar and STAR WARS™ character emojis, will collaborate with Disney and The Muppets Studio for a unique holiday campaign with the world-famous and beloved Muppets. Fans and Blitzers alike will enjoy an in-game holiday celebratory event and exclusive videos across digital channels presented by Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and their fellow Muppets friends. Disney Emoji Blitz has over 40 million installs worldwide to date and growing.

WHAT:
The Muppets will make their yuletide debut in a series of live-action short-form videos on Disney Emoji Blitz’s YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook channels. In the first video, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy encounter the Penguins, as seen in The Muppet Christmas Carol, and a topsy-turvy Christmas skating party rudely interrupts their game of Disney Emoji Blitz. Additional videos will spotlight the Swedish Chef, Fozzie Bear, and Uncle Deadly.

New releases will also feature Animal and Dr. Teeth, stars of the upcoming Disney+ series, The Muppets Mayhem.

The campaign is timed with The Muppet Christmas Carol Clear Event, a limited two-day in-game event, beginning December 20 and ending December 21, 2022, where Blitzers can collect several Muppet emojis released to date, including Kermit as Bob Cratchit and Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, Swedish Chef, Miss Piggy, Kermit, Gonzo and Fozzie.

The Muppets Studio performers Matt Vogel (Kermit the Frog, Uncle Deadly), Eric Jacobson (Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal), and Bill Barretta (Swedish Chef, Dr. Teeth) reprise their puppeteer roles and lend their voices to the beloved Muppets as they get their game on and play Disney Emoji Blitz with hilarious results. Video skits were written by The Muppets Studio team, so each piece of short-form content brings fans the authentic Muppet magic in ways only the Muppets can.

In addition to The Muppets Christmas Carol Clear Event, the game will run a Haunted Box event featuring Hatbox Fozzie and Madam Pigota from the Muppets Haunted Mansion, just in time for Muppet fans to complete their Muppets Emoji collection!

Disney Emoji Blitz amplifies the classic match-3 gaming experience with beloved Disney, Pixar and STAR WARS™ characters, artfully combining modern expressions through its Emojis with beloved Disney properties. The game allows players to collect, download and share over 90 years of classic Disney, Pixar, and STAR WARSTM Emojis by clearing stages and completing objectives in the game. Disney Emoji Blitz is available to play for free in the US on The App Store and Google Play.
