September 30, 2026 – The Hot Seat, Slitherine’s show dedicated to the latest news, trends, and in-depth discussions from the world of strategy and wargaming, returns today at 18:00 CEST for Season 2. The season premiere features Iain McNeil, CEO of Slitherine—a lifelong wargamer and tabletop enthusiast with a passion for competitive miniature gaming. Marco Alessandro Minoli, Publishing Director at Slitherine, will open the episode with an editorial.
Later in the show, Paolo Paglianti will interview Iain McNeil about his wargaming roots and the origins of Slitherine. Finally, Das Tactic, one of the leading content creators in the wargaming niche, will reveal his favorite wargames. The Hot Seat goes beyond Slitherine, bringing together leading developers, designers, and industry figures to discuss the games, people, and ideas shaping the strategy genre. The first season featured an impressive lineup of guests from across the industry, including Tomas Sala (Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles), Frederik Schreiber, CEO of Slipgate Ironworks (Tempest Rising), Sophie James of Firefly Studios (Stronghold), Ian Fischer (Age of Empires), Paweł Wojs of Creative Assembly (Total War), Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of Colossal Order (Cities: Skylines), Philippe Boule, Head of Design at Relic, Mark Webley, Founder of Two Point Studios, and Romain de Waubert of Amplitude.

The Hot Seat will be a regular monthly fixture throughout the coming months. As with the first season, new episodes will go live on the last Wednesday of every month at 18:00 CEST.
Immediately following The Hot Seat, Slitherine will go live with the annual Home of Wargamers show, where Matrix Games will showcase its upcoming lineup of new wargames and reveal what is coming next.
