Such Fun! introduces a brand new system to the puzzle game genre.

Tokyo, Japan (Tuesday, August 11, 2020)

HellYeah! Japan has announced the release of Such Fun! an exciting new mobile game based on innovative and original mechanics that bring a completely new system to the genre.

The system called Contrarium (from Latin meaning invert) consists of only two rules, where the first one defines possibilities and the second defines the limits of a player’s action.

Such Fun! starts with one or many items already on the board. Each item can expand on the board in 4 directions as long as the adjacent tiles are empty; that is the possibility rule. If at least one of them is not empty, the selected item will disappear leaving an empty space; this is the limit rule.
The goal is to fill the entire board with items in a specified number of moves.

The game story revolves around joining themed parties and collecting costumes that award the player with additional perks and even more entertainment. With regular updates to the Wardrobe that provide unique seasonal costumes for additional parties, it delivers many hours of fun solving unique puzzles.

The system inventor, Adam Buczek, believes it will expand the casual gaming landscape which hasn’t seen an original and scalable mechanics system in years. For that reason, HellYeah! is already developing multiplayer and war strategy versions.

Such Fun! is currently available for iPhone and iPad

Backstory

Such Fun! was developed in difficult times of COVID pandemic, and for that reason, its main theme is based on the sad fact of inability to meet people and throw parties. “One of our goals was to bring back the fun and joy through its unique game mechanics and staging parties.” - say the game developers.

The game and the system were invented and produced by Adam Buczek and his team. The mechanics itself were inspired by studies in evolutional psychology and the history of human behaviour. In particular the isolation during winter in the northern hemisphere in the neolithic era.
