BBG Entertainment's gamescom booth was regularly bursting at the seams, especially when influencers like Max Schradin played the brand-new BOULDER DASH 40th Anniversary.
Munich, 26 August 2025 – A wonderful gamescom 2025 concluded on Sunday, and for BBG Entertainment, it was a complete success! Several thousand guests visited the Munich-based publisher's booth and experienced true retro feelings: They were able to play the classic BOULDER DASH® on legendary platforms such as the C64, NES, Amiga, and Atari.
The highlight was the world premiere of BOULDER DASH® 40th Anniversary, released on August 21, 2025, for PC, Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation. The Nintendo Switch version will follow on September 4 in Europe, August 28 in North America.
The daily contests and the grand international championship final, held in cooperation with partners from EIGHT BIT ESPORTS, provided particularly exciting action. Hundreds of BOULDER DASH mugs, mousepads, and buttons found new owners. Both children and adults had fun competing in various categories. The grand finale on Saturday, which also included Adam Strzelczyk and Lukas Schimm, the winners of the Master Challenges in Warsaw and Rome, provided some goosebump-inducing moments. Mike Bergmann narrowly defeated Peter Voß and Claudia Kleinhans after three rounds. A special highlight: The booth was regularly packed with influencers like Max Schradin.
