Monday 6th February 2023 - Indie Studio Gentle Giant today announced that their upcoming 2D Action Roguelite + Platform Fighter hybrid, Spiritfall, will launch on Steam Early Access on March 7th.
Spiritfall is a 2D Action Roguelite inspired by Platform Fighters. With its beautifully vibrant, hand-drawn artstyle and powerful atmospheric music, players will traverse dangerous regions and unleash deadly combos as they battle against a multitude of enemies using an ever-changing arsenal of powers.
The story follows the Omenforged, a warrior of unknown origin, who is chosen by the Divine Spirits to fight against the blight spreading across the land. Throughout their journey players will encounter mysterious characters, forge and upgrade a variety of weapons, and unlock new skills and rooms to assist them on their journey.
The launch date poster reveals two new Spirits that players of the Spiritfall closed betas and Next Fest Demo have not seen before - The Seahorse and the Racoon which gives an idea of the new attacks and abilities that will be available throughout Early Access.
A demo for Spiritfall is currently available now during Steam Next Fest from 6-13 February.
