Press release

Six maps, hats, and travel effects: what's coming in the released Potion-making

Demo of Potion-making: Path of Alchemist is already on Steam, and today we want to share what you'll get in the full game on November 10.

All six maps

The demo is a taste of the game, and the full version opens up all six locations. Each one changes how you plan your route across the Travel Board:

  • Library of Five Worlds: the classic board with the basic movement rules

  • Floating Islands: chests with talismans appear on the map

  • Great Forest: thickets you can't skip, so you have to stop on them

  • Snow Realm: slippery ice that require only “1” power token

  • Underwater World: bubbles that make you spend a pair of tokens to move

  • Valley of Creation: thickets, ice, and bubbles all on one map, the most demanding board in the game

Every map works in both modes. Invite friends online and race them across the board, or play against AI opponents when you want to practice or just enjoy a quiet match at your own pace.

Customise your player token

We're also adding customization for your player token. You'll be able to put hats on your piece and pick effects that appear while it travels across the board. It's a small thing, but it makes every journey to the Places of Power a bit more fun to watch

You can try the core game right now

The main mechanics are already in the demo, so there's no need to wait for the release to see how brewing, stealing, and recipe chains feel. The demo is also part of Steam Next Fest, running October 19-26, so it's a great moment to jump in or make some content. If you'd like a key, just reply to this email and we'll send one over. You can also grab assets from our Creators Kit.

Don't forget to wishlist the game, so you won't miss the launch!
