SWAPMEAT Confirmed for a Special Latin American Meat Lab Playtest Ahead of October Early Access

Indie Developer One More Game Invites Players to Indulge in its Highly-Anticipated Co-op Roguelite Shooter… Available in Spanish and Portuguese from Sept 18-21!

Mexico City, September 11th, 2025 One More Game announced today that SWAPMEAT, the third-person co-op roguelite where you swap body parts from bizarre alien foes to gain their abilities, will hold a special Latin American Meat Lab playtest – specifically designed with the Latin American community in mind, but everyone can join in on the fun. Participants can join other Meat Scientists in this new playtest, which will run from September 18th to September 21st.

One More Game also confirmed that SWAPMEAT will be available through Early Access for PC and macOS via Steam in October 2025. Players can join the ranks of Rangus Meats™ by adding SWAPMEAT to their Steam Wishlist and signing up at playSWAPMEAT.com to secure a spot in the LATAM Meat Lab.

As a special incentive for top-performing employees, Rangus announced an exclusive reward: the Meat Scientist Cosmetic Set, available only to those who participated in any Meat Lab playtests before Early Access.

Every body part you swap brings Rangus Meats™ closer to a better tomorrow—or at least a weirder one. Participants will gain exclusive access to the latest updates, showcasing the game’s squishy-yet-surprisingly-deep meat-swapping mechanics. Aspiring Meat Scientists can wishlist SWAPMEAT on Steam now.

This LATAM playtest aims to solicit player feedback from respective players, and improve the experience through a redesigned progression system, multiplayer respawns, Hunters, new test features, innovative mechanics, experimental weapons, and a generous dose of unethical research.

Key Features of the LATAM Playtest
  • Enhanced Progression System

    • Weapon and upgrade meta-progression has been reworked with more spark than ever, now featuring 27 unlockable parts to enhance your arsenal and fine-tune the perfect loadout.

  • Seamless Multiplayer Experience & Ravenous Hunters

    • Being a Meat Scientist is TOUGH… and you tend to die. A LOT. Respawns have been rebalanced, and tokens now function differently: if you’re the first player to die with no tokens left, your run ends. But if you’re not the last one alive, you can come back—at the cost of triggering a shortened Hunter delay.

    • Players will respawn at dedicated Respawn Points, activated by completing priority directives and/or powering up the Collector. These safe zones allow revival away from Hunters and enemy alien hordes. But beware: you cannot respawn if the Hunters are in their Enraged state.

    • Hunters are now a bit calmer and easier to handle outside of Enrage. Just don’t make them angry… you won’t like them when they’re angry.

  • Miscellaneous Updates Galore

    • Full control reconfiguration for deeper customization.

    • Solar System 2 now shines with polished environments and improved events.

    • Rangus Meats™ Worldwide - UI is now localized with improved Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese support for Latin American communities.

This playtest continues to refine everything SWAPMEAT has to offer, as One More Game remains committed to building an iterative title shaped by community feedback. Each test brings new insights that help ensure the game is plated and ready for Early Access and beyond. More announcements will be made in the not so distant future for SWAPMEAT, so stay tuned.
