AHMEDABAD, India. October 25, 2026 - Independent developer and publisher Zatun today released SCP: Project Pneuma in Steam Early Access for Windows PC at a launch price of US$9.99. Inspired by the SCP universe, the first-person psychological survival horror game challenges players to investigate a containment disaster while evading entities they cannot overpower and questioning the evidence of their own senses.
Players play Dr Alexander “Alexie” Kolchak, a Foundation researcher who survives the collapse of Site-19. The institution that once studied and contained the anomalous has lost control. Its research now moves freely through the facility, and Alexie must uncover what happened while finding a way to stay alive.
Survival begins with observation. Each anomaly follows distinct rules, requiring players to recognise patterns, anticipate behaviour, and adapt their approach. Against threats including SCP-173Z, SCP-096Z, SCP-939Z, and SCP-239Z, understanding an encounter can matter more than the supplies carried into it.
That understanding becomes harder to trust as hallucinations disrupt Alexie’s perception. Familiar spaces become uncertain, and investigating the facility means continually reassessing what is real, what is dangerous, and where it is safe to go.
Exploration, stealth, environmental puzzles, and limited resources shape the journey. Journals, voice recordings, and evidence left by Foundation personnel allow players to reconstruct the events surrounding the breach, discovering the story through the places and people it has left behind.
A Complete First Chapter, With More to Follow
The Early Access release includes the complete Chapter I story campaign, featuring multiple explorable environments, investigation mechanics, environmental puzzles, and anomalous encounters.
The sequel is in development and is planned to continue the narrative with new locations, additional entities, and expanded gameplay. Throughout Early Access, Zatun will use community feedback to guide improvements to performance, stability, balance, and usability.
