TORONTO, ONTARIO, AUGUST 18, 2022 - Registration is NOW OPEN for Red Bull Solo Q: the official 1v1 League of Legends tournament. The event is back in Canada for 2022, giving amateur Canadian League of Legends (LoL) players the opportunity to be crowned the best in the world. Canada’s online qualifiers kick off on August 27th, 2022, with a second qualifier taking place on September 3rd, 2022. The top performing players will compete at the Red Bull Solo Q Canada National Final, more information to come, on October 1st, 2022.
Red Bull Solo Q adds a unique twist to traditional League of Legends play. The format consists of 1v1 duels, where the player must draw "First Blood," take down the opponent’s tower, or reach a 100-minion score to claim victory. This format tests players in a completely different way than the traditional 5v5 and also gives fans the opportunity to see champions and strategies they may not otherwise.
Red Bull Solo Q is built for players who want to develop their solo skills and fans looking for fast, high-intensity battles.
There are prizes, ranging in value, for everyone up to 50th place in the Qualifiers. The top prizes include:

- A chance to participate in the National Final
2nd Place

Canada has a history of performing well at the international portion of Red Bull Solo Q, with first place at the 2019 Global Final being awarded to Montreal’s Tristan 'Jumong' Cote-Lalumiere. The 2022 qualifiers will occur in two rounds, with each being separated into separate east and west tournaments players can join at their discretion. Red Bull Solo Q 2022 kicked off internationally in March, with players from all over the globe competing to determine the best 1v1 League of Legends amateur in the world.
