Sydney, March 13th 2026 - Final Scene Dev is excited to debut a new trailer announcing the release date and launch platforms for their 2D choice-driven action RPG Foreign Sun (formerly known as The Meridian Gate). The game will be released on the Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) this April 21st with pre-orders now available on Nintendo Switch featuring a 10% discount.
Foreign Sun originally started development as a port of 2020's Biomass to the Nintendo Switch but the project grew in scope from there, becoming its own game with redrawn art and a new design that aims to expand the world, choice and consequence that users loved in Biomass. The game caters both to new players and to those who’ve already made the pilgrimage to the Eternal Lighthouse before.
Owners of Biomass on Steam will get free access to Foreign Sun upon release, with details on that upgrade coming in the weeks leading up to launch.
