Zagreb, Croatia, October 27, 2026 – Independent Croatian developer Siscia Games has released one of the biggest updates yet for its Roman city-building game, Pompeii: The Legacy, introducing Steam Workshop integration, an in-game Map Editor, and dedicated modding tools.
The update marks a significant milestone for Pompeii: The Legacy, opening the game to community-created content and giving players new ways to expand their experience beyond the original maps and environments.

Build Your Own Roman World
The newly introduced Map Editor allows players to create their own playable landscapes, starting from existing map templates or completely empty terrain.
Players can shape hills, valleys, coastlines, and islands using terrain editing tools, customize their environments with trees, vegetation, rocks, and other scenery, and even import terrain from external grayscale heightmaps.
Created maps can be saved as editable projects, exported as playable mods, and shared with other players.
Whether recreating landscapes inspired by ancient Rome or designing entirely fictional environments, the Map Editor gives players the freedom to build their own settings for Roman settlements.
Steam Workshop and Community Modding
Alongside the Map Editor, Pompeii: The Legacy now features Steam Workshop support, allowing players to discover, subscribe to, and use community-created mods.
To support content creators, Siscia Games has also introduced a dedicated Pompeii Mod Tool, providing functionality for preparing, validating, publishing, and updating mods through Steam Workshop.
The developer has also released a detailed Map Creation & Mod Guide, walking players through the entire process of creating a map, exporting it as a mod, testing it in-game, and publishing it for the community.
