Nuremberg, Germany – September 24, 2025 – Independent developer PartTimeIndie is excited to announce that its roguelike deckbuilding action RPG School of Magic will officially launch on November 10, 2025 on Steam.
The announcement comes with a major Beta update, introducing:
-
Extended Demo – now playable beyond the first dungeon, with an Ironman-style challenge that reduces health to 1 after the first boss.
-
New Spells – unleash the power of the Necromancer and the shapeshifting Druid.
-
Graphical Overhaul – updated visuals that bring more atmosphere and style.
-
More Content & Balancing – new encounters, adjustments, and hidden surprises.
“Finishing the Beta was a huge milestone,” said developer Nikolas Crisci, founder of PartTimeIndie. “With School of Magic, I want to merge the freedom of deckbuilding with the thrill of hack-and-slash combat. The release on November 10 will finally open the full experience to players.”

School of Magic lets players build their own “class” before each run by choosing spells, then level-ups evolve into a unique skill tree. Every run brings new synergies, risks, and rewards, combining the strategic depth of deckbuilders with the excitement of roguelike action RPGs.
