Lies and Betrayals Abound at the Film Set

Case 3 is set several months after the prior case. Having settled into a life with Shallot and Oscar, things have reached a stable equilibrium for Chive O’Higgins. This peace is shattered, however, once Chive receives a strange phone call from director Melanie Moore, urging him to come meet Shallot at what for all intents and purposes appears to be a ramshackle chemical plant. His curiosity piqued, Chive relents and visits Xedex Industries to find out what business Shallot could have there. While gathering intel on the guerrilla film being shot at the facility, Bentley (the Dome's robotic moderator,) informs the group that a murder has occurred. Without warning, Melanie jumps to the conclusion that Shallot must be the culprit, seeming to have some clandestine reason for her belief. It's up to Chive to find the answers to the mysteries at hand and prove his cousin's innocence.

The theme explored in Case 3 is the theme of betrayal: why would someone betray a friend? What lengths will someone go to hide a betrayal? Can a betrayal be forgiven? Perhaps most importantly, how does a betrayal fundamentally change the foundation of a bond? Uncovering the mysteries at Xedex Industries, Chive will discover profound betrayals hidden away in the unlikeliest of places. Many lies and secrets stand between our hero and the truth, will he be able to navigate the web of lies he finds himself ensnared in?
