Solo developer L0rne has released the official announcement trailer for Teufelskreis, a mystery-driven roguelite deckbuilder that turns roulette into a tactical battle against the house.
In Teufelskreis, the player is bound to an employment contract with the mysterious corporation OPCORP and forced to gamble for survival.
Every spin, both the player and the house place wagers of their own. Players build a deck of tarot cards that can rewrite bets, manipulate payouts and bend the rules of the roulette table in their favor.
The game combines roulette-based push-your-luck mechanics with deckbuilding, roguelite progression and an unfolding occult corporate mystery.
Key features include:
- Roulette-based gameplay where both the player and the house place wagers
- A customizable tarot deck that can alter bets, payouts and rules
- Artifacts that further modify the behavior of the roulette table
- Roguelite progression and route choices
- A larger mystery surrounding OPCORP and the player’s contract
Teufelskreis is being developed solo in Godot by L0rne.
The announcement trailer track was composed by Alex Peipman, who will also create the full original soundtrack for the game. Peipman previously worked on the Buckshot Roulette multiplayer soundtrack and Machine Party.
Teufelskreis is currently planned for Windows, macOS and native Linux, with Steam Deck support planned for launch.
The release date is currently TBA.
