NINES has revealed that their next title is going to be a puzzle game, called Pipeworks Puzzle. Currently in development, Pipeworks Puzzle adds a unique twist on the classic tile sliding puzzle, and contains cute visuals and relaxing tunes. The reveal was accompanied by a trailer, which was published on YouTube and shared across NINES’ social media sites.
In Pipeworks Puzzle, players take on a role as a plumber at a construction site. The goal is to arrange the seemingly disordered pieces of pipes according to the provided blueprint and successfully connect all of the pipes. The pipes are set in a grid-based arena, and movement is restricted to the cardinal directions (up, down, left, and right). The game also features a support character, simply known as ‘Boss’, guiding players on their journey from a novice plumber to a master. The character was designed by PokuriMio, known for streaming art on Twitch.
Pipeworks Puzzle can be wishlisted now on Steam, and is set to release later this year. According to the store page, adding the game to your wishlist can contribute to unlocking new features in game, including an endless mode, speedrun mode, battle with friends, and even a cat! Pipeworks Puzzle is a tile sliding puzzle genre game where players move pieces of pipes across a grid-based arena to connect the plumbing as shown in a blueprint. Visually, the game has a cute cartoon artistic style, and is accompanied by relaxing music and ambient sounds.
