Everywhere, Planet Earth — Mar. 15, 2023 — Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore, the open-world survival sandbox game created by Blankhans GmbH, has exceeded expectations with its recent closed alpha, which took place between March 2nd and March 5th. With over 18,000 players signing up for the closed alpha, Coreborn has generated great insights for the next phases of development.

Over 10,000 unique players played the game during the three days of the closed alpha, with impressive retention results: an average of over 40% during the period.

The game's coverage on Twitch was equally exciting, with over 260,000 total views and almost 170,000 unique views during the three days of the closed alpha.

The feedback from players has been overwhelmingly positive, with more than 70% of players rating the gameplay experience as "Fantastic" or "I really like it" on a survey. The art style was also praised, with over 93% of players enjoying it. The Coreborn world look and feel had over 80% of players stating they loved it.

During the three days of the closed alpha, the Coreborn team gained invaluable insights that they will use to refine the game further. "Balancing between Effort and Reward is truly the key to finding the game fun. During closed alpha, the team heard player feedback and implemented changes," said René Rieck, Coreborn’s Executive Producer. "The art style is on the right track, and the team will polish it further. Players found the world of Coreborn beautiful and interesting, with unique creatures' designs. This is exactly what we wanted to hear and are incredibly excited to continue developing amazing experiences alongside the community”, completed Hauke Gerdes, Coreborn’s Creative Director.

“The team will also double down on survival. Players really felt the environment of the game should be even more challenging and with more consequences.", Hauke said.

“Overall, the results of the Coreborn closed alpha have been highly encouraging. The team can’t wait to give players more ways to explore the land of Tormentosia, build towns, and unite against the environment in this survival game.”, finished Markus Schneider, Blankhans’ CEO.

About Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore
Immerse yourself in an engrossing journey full of charm, hope, challenges, and adventures. Visit Tormentosia, a once vibrant land suddenly covered by Sorgoth’s shadow of darkness. Join the united nations of the Core in reclaiming the land. Restore and rebuild towns and settlements. Face hordes of Gothkin. Meet new friends and cooperate with your companions. Survive and thrive together to make a better future.
Coreborn evolves the Survival-Sandbox genre with its focus on social gameplay, no PvP, and systems that help make every encounter with another player a positive experience. While the Open-World of Tormentosia is where the game focuses on cooperative gameplay, the Social Hub, Coreheim, will add MMO elements and allow players to connect with the game’s entire population. Coreborn will constantly evolve the world of Tormentosia with Seasons and mini-game-esque modes called Adventures.
