April 22, 2026 - Shanghai, China - Mahjong Soul, the anime-style Riichi mahjong game operated by Yostar Games, has launched a special collab version with Sword Art Online following maintenance on April 21, 2026 (UTC-7). This collaboration features limited characters, outfits, decorations, along with the limited-time event Oath of the Sword, which will last until May 12, 2026 (UTC-7).

Join the new limited-time event: Oath of the Sword!
Following the update, the new event Oath of the Sword commences! From April 21 to May 12, 2026 (UTC-7), players can dive into a unique virtual world featuring the special match mode: Vulture's Deal. By participating in Ranked matches or Vulture's Deal, players can collect the event item Cream-Topped Bread to earn generous rewards, including the exclusive collab Tile Back.
In Vulture's Deal, a "Spoils" phase occurs right before the next hand begins, allowing the winner to swap starting tiles:
- On Ron: The winner takes 3 random tiles (face-up) from the player who dealt in, then returns 3 chosen tiles (face-down).
- On Tsumo: The winner takes 1 random tile (face-up) from each opponent, then chooses 3 tiles to return, randomly distributing 1 (face-down) to each.

Sword Art Online (published by Dengeki Bunko) is a light novel series by Reki Kawahara, winner of the 15th Dengeki Bunko Novel Grand Prize.
