Mahjong Soul Celebrates Spring Festival with New Characters, Outfits, and Festive Events

January 21, 2025 - Shanghai, China - To celebrate the Spring Festival, Mahjong Soul is excited to announce a special limited-time event. This update will feature two new characters, four exclusive limited-time outfits, and festive decorations to enhance the seasonal experience. Participants in the Limited-Time Events will have the opportunity to earn a variety of event rewards. The event will take place from January 20th, 2025, to February 13th, 2025 (UTC-7).

Limited-time Events & Rewards

Mahjong Soul invites you to join the Lucky Spring Fair in celebration of the Spring Festival! During the event, players can earn event items by completing specific missions. These items can be used to upgrade your Fair Rank, which in turn unlocks various rewards such as Event Illustrations, Spring Festival limited-time Emotes & Tablecloths, Summon Scrolls and more!

Additionally, the Sky-High Ambition Firework Glee event will be taking place simultaneously. By completing missions in this event, players can earn rewards including Event Illustrations and Lucky Bags. Don’t miss out on these exciting opportunities!

New Characters 

In the Year of the Snake, Mahjong Soul introduces two new characters: Hua Yubai and her twin sister, Hua Yuqing.

Hua Yubai, the acting leader of the Floating Dreams theater, is celebrated for her exquisite beauty and exceptional acting talent. Despite being adored by many, she is never fully satisfied with herself and constantly seeks deeper meaning in her performances. Like the umbrella she carries, always waiting for rain, she too awaits someone who can help her truly understand the essence of her roles.

Hua Yuqing, the leading actress of the Floating Dreams theater, shares her sister's looks but has a completely different personality. Mischievous and lively, she often finds herself in trouble due to her "outlandish" behavior. However, once she steps on stage, she transforms into a seasoned performer with impressive acting skills and a dazzling presence. Additionally, it seems she has yet another secret identity...

New Limited-time Outfits & Decorations

Following the game update, Mahjong Soul will introduce four new limited-time Chinese-style outfits: the Echoes of Rejoicing series. This collection includes two animated outfits for Kana Fujita and Zechsd, as well as new outfits for Chiori Mikami and Sara. Additionally, the Day of Celebration series will be available again for a limited time, so don't miss out on this opportunity.

Furthermore, a new set of Bamboo-themed decorations has been added to the character gacha pool. These elegant items include Riichi Bet - Verdant Umbrella, Tile Back - Inked Bamboo, Portrait Frame - Bamboo Joy Overflow, "Acclaimed Far and Wide," and Tablecloth - Leafy Silhouettes.
